Membership

We offer five different categories of memberships according to the NAFIJ Statute -2009. As per the article 6, sub article 6.1 to 6.5 there are five different ranges of members as follows.
a. General Member
This member shall have the voting right and the right to candidacy. One should apply for the membership using the membership form at the central working committee for the new membership.
b. Founder Member
This special category comprises of the founding members of NAFIJ, those in the ad hoc central working committee in September 2009. The members in this category shall be the observer of the institution while they are not in the central working committee.
c. Institutional Member
Any interested institution to work with the theme of NAFIJ can apply for the institutional membership. However the institution should have financial journalists as its member in it. Member institutions can represent in NAFIJ through members. NAFIJ shall provide general membership to maximum 3 of the members from the institutional member. Interested Institution may apply at NAFIJ central working committee using the membership form.
d. Honorary Member
Any Nepalese or foreign national, actively involved in the promotion of financial journalism will be honored with this special membership. Public relation officers in reputed financial institutions can be granted with this membership. However the members in this category shall not have right to candidacy or to cast vote.
e. Lifetime Member
Any interested personality working in the field of economics can apply at central working committee for the life time membership completing the provisioned process using the membership form. Members in this category shall not have any right to candidacy or casting vote.
Qualifications for General Membership
Primary Qualifications
a. Nepalese Nationality
b. Above 18 years old
c. Good mental health
d. Never involved in any kind of embezzlement of public properties
e. Never penalised in any kind of criminal and corruption like offences
f. Having no personal interests with the institution
Academic and Professional Qualifications
a. Active in financial journalism since last 6 months after completing graduation or equivalent in Journalism, Economy or Management.
b. Active in financial journalism since last 1 year after completing graduaton in any field.
c. Active in financial journalism since last 2 years after completing proficiency in certificate level or equivalent in Journalism,
Economy or Management.
d. Active in financial journalism since last 3 years after completing proficiency in certificate level or equivalent in any field.
Reservation Quota
Those individuals facilitated with the reservation facility provided by the State namely the individuals from female, indigenous, ethnicity, dalit, Madhesi or any marginalised community shall have facility to get membership with consideration of 3 months on the part of work experience.
Membership Fees:
a. General Member Rs. 300 per annum
b. Institutional Member Rs. 900 per annum
c. Lifetime Member Rs. 5000 for one time
